All Year 6 parents are invited to attend our Year 6 assembly to celebrate their primary years.  Please arrive for 9.20 am for a prompt start at 9.30 am.

St Peter's will be holding another Key Stage 1 Sports Day for those of you who were unable to attend the Sports Day on the 5th July.

All Classes to visit their new class they will be in from September.  Year 6 pupils who have chosen Marlwood as their secondary school will spend the day with their new tutor group. 

Reception will be travelling to the Forest of Dean for the day leaving St Peter's at 9.15 returning to school for 3 pm.

If you are unable to attend the evening performance  please see Ms Urry to arrange to attend the afternoon performance.

KS1 are holding their Easter service on Tuesday 30th March at 9.15 pm.   Parents welcome.

KS2 is holding their Easter service on 29th March at 2.45.  Parents welcome.

Thursday 25th March will be Walk to School Day.  All children are welcome.  We will be departing from the Cross Hands at 8.30 and pass Cranmoor Green at 8.35.  There will be an Easter theme prizes being given to best dressed Easter fancy dress.

Alternatively, children can wear non uniform to school as long as they participate in the walk.  Please note parents will need to walk with their children.

Pupils will be taking part in a sponsored mile run around the school field at 1.30 pm.    Please sponsor your child/ren.

The children are served their wonderful christmas lunch by the Staff and Governor's of St Peter's. The cost of the lunch will be £1.60 as per normal school dinners.

The KS2 carol service will be held today in St Peter's church.

'Pete the Penguin' the play performed by Reception will now be on Monday 14th December.

The children of Key Stage 1 present their christmas production for all to see and enjoy. Further details will be available nearer the time.

Monday 5th October sees the start of Children's World Book Week, and to mark this occasion, the children will be able to come to school on Friday 9th October dressed as their favourite book character.

Fife lessons start today for Year 4.

Swimming lessons start today for Class 3 - this year class 3 will be using the facilities of Tockington Manor. Lessons will be on Thursday afternoons from 2:30-3:00pm returning to school by 3:30pm. 

The turf cutting ceremony for the new school building will take place on Monday 14th September at 3.30pm.

All classes will be creating fantastic art in various forms during this period. The theme will be the ‘rainforest’. 

 Friends of St Peter's are holding a May Fayre on Saturday 9^th May commencing at 11.30 am on the school field. Monies raised from these kind of events are used towards purchasing items that the children would not normally be able to have within the confines of the school budget.   So, please come along and support us.

Class 3 and 6 will be holding cake sales.  All proceeds towards resources for their classes.

Class 4/5 Leave School at 9.15 am to visit Bristol Cathedral to take part in a 'Candlemass' ceremony.  Returning to School at 3.15 pm.

Key stage 1 pupils (Classes 1 & 2) will be performing their Nativity Play "Born in a Barn" on Tuesday 9th December at 2.30pm and Thursday 11th December at 6.00pm.

If at all possible we would ask that no babies or younger children are brought to the performance.

Tickets are now available and can be obtained by returning the slip from the school notice that was issued recently. We are initially limiting tickets to 2 per family and will allocate any spare tickets on Monday Dec 8th.

Alternatively, email secretary@stpetersprimary.co.uk with your name, your childs name & class, the number of tickets you require and the date you wish to attend.

At the end of the performance there will be a collection for our chosen charity this year, St Peter's Hospice.

The school Christmas meal will take place on Friday 12th December. Please note thaton Wed 10thDecember there will be no roast dinner, but the Fri 12th Menu of Fish 'n' Chips instead.

We have organised a movie night onFriday 12th December 2008 at the school.

KS1 will be watching Kung Fu Panda (PG) from 4.15-6pm.

KS2 will be watching The Golden Compass (PG) from 6.15-8pm.

Tickets cost £1.50 and will include a drink, popcorn and a contribution to St Peter's Hospice.

Children are welcome to wear pyjamas and to bring a teddy and a duvet/blanket!
