Terms 3 and 4

Our overarching topic for the next 2 terms is called 'I am an adventurer'. In history lessons, we will be looking at different significant explorers, including Captain Robert Scott and Christopher Columbus. In geography lessons we will be looking at world mapping. This will include learning about the different continents and oceans. In science lessons we will be looking at animals. We will look at classifying animals as well as looking at the needs of different animals and their life cycles.

We would also like to welcome Mr Albutt, our student teacher from UWE, who will be working with us up to the end of June.

We will look at several different texts in our English lessons related to this topic. These will include 'The Boy who Sailed the World' 'Shackleton's Journey' and 'The Search for the Giant Arctic Jellyfish'.

Please see the overview below for more information about learning in year 1 and year 2 across the next 2 terms.
