Last week we read “Whatever next!” and spent the week learning all about space. We made rockets out of boxes and had a lovely picnic on the moon. We practiced number recognition by rolling a dice and filling our spaceships with aliens and explored mark making with paint and foil.

This week our focus book has been "The Gingerbread man". We've made our own gingerbread people and used icing to decorate them, developing our fine motor skills. We enjoyed watching the pantomime Sleeping Beauty with the rest of the school and we have a new cheeky visitor in Nursery. Buddy the Elf has come to join us for lots of fun and mischief!
