The week before half term our focus book was ‘The Little Sunflower’. We celebrated world Bee Day by making some collage bees, planting sun flowers and trying some lovely honey on toast. We discussed the importance of bees and how they help our environment. We had fun in our ‘Garden Centre’ using some great imagination skills. We explored flowers and seeds in the Playdough Station creating some beautiful bouquets. Our butterflies made a late appearance, hatching on the last day of term.

This week we have focused on our wellbeing and settling nicely back into school. We have revisited the colour monster book and have been discussing our feelings. We have introduced our new ‘Kindness Jar’. The children are able to receive a gem for the jar in return for acts of kindness. When our Jar is full, we have a special treat! The children are very excited and have already received many gems! We have also welcomed a couple new friends this week and have looked after them brilliantly.
