RELATIONSHIPS, SEX AND HEALTH EDUCATION – INTENT STATEMENT
At St Peter's Primary school, we believe that Relationship, Sex and Health Education (RSHE) enables children to be able to understand what good relationships are like and how to keep them; know how our bodies change and feel as we grow and marvel at the awe and wonder of the creation of new life and how to nurture emotional and physical health.
We follow DfE Guidelines when delivering RSHE and utilise teaching materials and resources from JIGSAW. You can download our programme of study which is in the guide for parents below.
Parents have the right to withdraw their children from sex education. If this is your wish, please discuss with the Executive Head or Head of School.
